I've just started a thread on this type of thing but with a little private job his wife told me they don't want to pay and he's quite rough I'd love to punch this rough blokes face in but that wouldn't be good for business we are a fily business and work for fair prices take pride in our work it really tests you when someone wants to take advantage of you I have twins on the way and I see it as thoughthese peopleare taking money from them but suppose it's part and parcel of our job

ive been caught a few times, one memorable occasion when i had dumped of a load of firewood at a clients home when they wernt there, after a couple of weeks we went back for the money, drove up the driveway only to see the guy jump over his back fence and leg it,unbelievable.never did get the dough and the wood had gone by then

even now when i invoice private clients with the words due on reicept some of them still think they are entitled to a line of credit:thumbdown:

Had that once delivered a load to a rented cottage, nobody in so as I would with anybody else took it on trust, dropped off the wood and stuck a note through the door, few weeks later still no payment, so rang the landlord as I'd done a bit for them turns out tenants had done a bunk, but at least landlord coughed up for it :001_cool:

As for my overdue customer he's coughed up today :thumbup1: just hope its not a rubber cheque now, even put a note in saying thanks for a great job! If that don't take the p*ss Idon't know what does :001_cool:

COD is best so better to state that you require payment upon delivery on time/date arranged...afterall they dont order Tesco goodies delivery and not have the dosh to pay for it.

If they are not a known and trusted customer then basically...i wouldn't tip!! simple as that..
