Had a call at 8am this morning about a lorry hitting a tree in the city centre, now we get these a lot and to be honest its usually just a few branches and twigs – so imagine our surprise when we turned the corner and found this little lot!

Perfect place for a lorry to rip a tree in half, there's a greggs 5 feet away!

 

That damage looks pretty terminal given the location, do you get to replant?

Just as a thought John, can you get a decent size tree put in to replace the damaged one, after all it should be covered by insurance, be nice to put something decent in??

I made the executive decision to close the shop (for health and safety reasons you understand). The girls had just baked the mornings pies and steak slices and guess what – they had to give them away!!
