I remember had a go on my friends pull up bar that hooks onto door frame,crash bang wallop down me and the door frame came haha.

Careful if your climbing alot not to overdo the pull ups as climbing really hits your lats and back muscles hard as it is.

Got bench and deadlift comp in Carlisle end of month if want me to wear an arbtalk shirt on the platform let us know steve I don't mind doing bit of free advertising

Here we go Steve.

 

Even worse for chins than I remembered, the bar is only 6'2" off the ground, and the uprights catch your shoulders towards the top of the movement.

 

Good for dips with 30kg on the belt though.

 

Apologies for crap quality of pics, wife took them in a bad mood as we were late for taking the new buggy out for a spin!

I just bought one of these off Ebay....

 

Bodymax CF475 Heavy Power Rack at Powerhouse Fitness

 

You can buy dip bars for about £25 for it. Got the frame for £120 and its as new, well chuffed. The chin up section on the front is tuff as, hardly moves around at all (12st swinging around),

 

There's normally a few on ebay, just search Power rack

looks like a good option. do you know if its narrow enough for a 6ft olympic bar?

 

i just ordered one of those towers but think im going to try and cancel it first thing in the morning
