Bench Press

Recommended Posts

Anyone got any sneaky little tips for upping your poundage on the bench?

Stuck in a bit of a rut at about 85kg for 5 sets of 4 after warm up.

Trying to mix it up with less weight/more reps and vice versa etc., but seem to have plateaued. Training with two good lads, so spotting is sorted.

Technique? Supplements? Cheating? Negatives?

Timewasters welcome on this one lads.:001_tt2:

(I know this isn't an 'arb' exercise like dips and chins etc., and don't care, I only want to discuss bench at the moment.)

any tips....how about getting up off your ass, walking round the rack and adding on some more weights. go and do something else for a while. take a break from presses. try some flyes.

Hadders, that was most helpful. I think.

Jamie, flyes are for girls breasts. I don't shave my chest yet. Why would I add more plates myself, for Gods sake? That's what my minions are for. Do you think I may be going too far by having them feed me grapes, though?:001_tt2:
