I was away in Sussex for my bro's wedding staying in a pub/ inn. In my room were Nat Geographics dating back to the 60's, including one about the big rdwoods, and how they first started measuring them......very interesting article, especially for those that have read The Wild Trees, vis-a-vis names of people involved etc, and moreover in light of the edition from October last year...Obviously i liberated it...:blushing:

I'm shocked that you nicked it, could you not have offered to replace it with a newer edition.

 

LOL- their reaction to my request to liberate it was along the lines of 'that old rubbish- help yourself'!!:thumbup:

 

Besides- the two articles are different, and i suspect that the july '64 edition is now unavailable lol.
