Well, I ended up not buying that one, as the transfer box was on its way out.

So I saw another pop up on truck trader- I was the first to see it, and told the guy I'd take it sight unseen - as he was only asking £1800!!!!

I took the train down to Truro in cornwall to pick it up, and was delighted to see it. 80k from new, ex power co, 4x4, air lockers, 6 tonne winch, 42ft platform... Bargain!

By the time I'd got down there, he'd had about 50 calls, and twigged that he had grossly underpriced it. he was a gent though and stuck to his deal.

Got one. Managed to get a 45ft platform on a low milage 4x4 dodge chassis. 4 outrigger base and roller shutter walk in tool box. Ex power co, so well maintained and little work done. Best bit, it cost me less than the hire was going to be

I like it Ed, its got a certain innocent charm, those dodge cabs are cool. Hope spare parts are easy to find. Did you get a warranty with it? :post:
