U900 running hot??

Get it hot and then feel the top and bottom of the radiator. If you can't get your hand in there use a non contact thermometer at an angle >45.

The rad should be a uniform temperature across the whole area. Any cool areas indicate blocked cores.

Your problems sounds like classic blocked rad symptoms. Try back flushing with water under pressure. There's a tool we used to have in the garage that plugs into a air line and hose pipe, allows you to blast water through the rad, you could probably improvise one.

Thats what I was going to suggest.:thumbup1:

Ok still going with the old girl, second stat and new temp sender today. Still getting upto and above 90 degs when driving empty under load ie up incline or so. Next up is oil change in the vain hope that will solve the issue as it's a couple years old now. After that I really don't know???!

I was going to ask about the oil! :sneaky2: I know you want to get to the cause rather than the symptoms but the w-wetter would atleast mean you could operate if the overheating is affecting business...

Oh, is it the temperature differential that's changed? i.e idle/no load/low load temp hasn't changed but under full load it has?

Have you checked that the cooling system is maintaining pressure? I don't mean a leakage but rather check that the pressure cap is not malfunctioning? Test by half-removing when hot (you know the drill - thick rag to prevent scalding) and listen for the audible pressure-release. Buggered pressure caps give an impression of radiator inefficiency which is more apparent than real.
