So was the trees stripping thing a real issue or an isolated case?

What's interesting is the amount of tourists taking selfies with them feeding off their hands.

It's weird how they have colonies in select parts of the SE, and have for years, but they don't seem to spread.

There's loads in Broadstairs.

 

Probably don't like the rain Mark.

 

Your northern climate may be somewhat harsh for the wee green feathery things.

Working next to a roost tree of a colony of parakeets today in Fenham, Newcastle. Been there the last 2 or 3 years the locals said.

Wonder how far north they get???

We delivered a bike to Uxbridge a few weeks ago and there was a colony on the feeder in his garden. I would definitely stop feeding if I had that racket to put up with.
