I love the way they went to the trouble of putting the company logo on the screen but couldn't edit out the mistake with the shorter loop at the start.

 

Another short clip I have wasted a fraction of my life watching and then commenting on.

was shown this knot by one of the guys at this years swedish tcc, since tried it for a couple of days with 8mm OP on Tachyon and found it to be very good. Need more time on it to say more. Be interested to hear when it first appeared?

 

Performs far differently to how you may expect.

Isn't that just a Machard Tresse? Been around forever, came form apline climbing, not really popular for tree work but an historical knot worth knowing.

 

that is defo a machard tresse dude. i used it briefly on a lanyard but found it slipped alot. can also be tied with an endless sling to provide friction in an emergency [three man rescue] if you dont have anything else. quite a cumbersome hitch tho.:thumbdown:
