Could try telling that to the tax man? Turns out my lifestyle and sickness insurance cover doesn't kick in until I have been off work for 2 whole weeks. Can only get hospital to sign me off for 1week even doing manual labour jobs. They say there must be something I can do that doesn't involve lifting or climbing.

Yeah for one week. After that I am supposed to pick and choose jobs that are easier on lifting and bending.

:thumbdown: thats well rubbish mate, folk can get signed off a council job for weeks then get a mobility car for having a splinter!!!!
