Is there a date that would suit those willing to come to Watford for this foray?

it would have to be a weekend, after the mid portion of september as it is around this time that Whippendell comes alive, and I want to ensure you have the VERY best foray i can offer.

You are welcome! I dont have any beech or oak forests on offer but good spots for undisturbed nature with mixed broadleaf nature reserves... Pine and spruce forests with bears, lynx and wolf. Casa Xerxses is open (thats not B&B but up to a reasonable standard anyway)!

felix, i will come to hatfield forest, keep an eye on it if your local, or just on the fungi that are coming up localy, when things start kicking off around mid september let me know and we will meet up for a stroll

I'll hold you to that, mate, and I'll try to get a few more of the Essex contingent on-board as well. All I have booked in September is the APF.
