When i change the oil i do the chassis and cover it with sump oil til its dripping. Not as good as waxoyl but its a free close second.

My first car had a great self preservation tactic like that. Leaked oil from the rocker cover, ran it down the engine then blew it all over the underside of the car. It obviously didn't want to go rusty.:laugh1:

Woah woah woah sweet baby Jesus and the orphans. That sounds like fighting talk. Do you know where I live? Did you know that I know Micky "machine gun" Stockbridge?

 

Why don't you go and hammerite the rest of your van? Haha

 

 

On a fully serious note though. How long do you estimate before rust starts coming through and makin it look shabby again? I.e how often do you need to go to that trouble?my transit needs to look like that.

no thats not an issue on my landy, and hasnt been for the last 5 years. Again, a lack of maintainence causes that. Keep breathers clear and oil seals stay intact.:001_smile:
