Should be a manditory part of the curriculum.

 

 

 

Get kids in or around trees = a better future for both :thumbup1:

Hey mate great pics its a really good activity for kids and so much more accesible than indoor climbing walls etc. Just out of curiosity, how were you getting them up the tree? I take my daughter who is 8 (looks about the same as your nephews) and I'm struggling to come up with a good climbing system for her so she can actually pull herself up the tree. We use a gri - gri at the bottom and I belay her, but what I really want is to be able to have her climbing with me. Anyone else have any ideas about a child friendly climbing system?

Is he using a hand ascender? I rember seeing someone else young'un climb a tree in that fashion and made it fine.

Could you use a normal prussik (Obviously the right length) but with a little micro pulley tied to a micro prussik to lift it? Seems to work well for little people!! :thumbup1:
