Hello All Chip drop with hard standing tipper access available in Prestwich. Just off Bury Old Road opposite Armstrongs chippy (handy;) 5 minutes from junc 17 on the m60. So theres a dead branch hanging over a public path. A target prune to give the tree chance to heal up would involve cutting a live part of the limb. Have I 'damaged' the tree?

Not quite arb, but a good way to spend a day and I'm sure some of you lot have some good toys. Looking to do some low level super safe climbing, swinging in the woods with my lad, whose 9, and a few of his mates. I'm thinking about a zipwire of some sort (couple of feet off the ground at the most) whats the best rope and way to tension the rope? 10 ton ratchets? I've spotted the 24kn Petzl P21 Tandem pulley on Jones' but any other ideas more than welcome...

Keep it coming! I'm still dithering over finalising some choices - Yale XTC and some Yale Silver Streak Friction for the Prussik. Sound OK? I've also swapped the Sequoia for a Navaho. I'm not spending all day every week in this gear so I'm trying to get a balance (ie under 500 notes inc a new pole saw and and decent lopper Dee - do have any suggestions for 'an extra small' harness? I could pop down to the local climbing wall we use and pick their brains.
