DITTO! :thumbup1:

Deutz V8 drool

With the chipper you refer to that will be one awesome setup.:001_tt1:

alternative is mounting it on a forwarder but with that set up I will have no haulage costs around the country :thumbup1: Obviously not going to have the same manoeuvrability but should do the job,

And your company name is...?

...Rambo's tree service maybe?

To drive that truck, you would definitely need a gun rack on the back window (like in the country in the US) with the gun that Arnold Schwartzenegger used in Predator (where he blows the b'jebus out of the forest w/ his commando buddies).

They don’t have a very good payload so there are better 6x6 out there with more payload and a lower unladen weight, also there are 6x6 trucks with better articulation in the rear bogie, as the MAN has individual coil-springs BUT no means for the axels to pivot around a common point with little friction, ergo it doesn’t take much of a bump or undulation for one axel to be in the air with no weight on it and the other axel to have all the weight on it.

They also drink fuel thanks to the semi-auto.

Other than being incredibly expensive......:001_smile:

I think it’s a specialised market and it’s a lot of money for a lot of truck wherever you go.

With Whithams you can always wait for the next tender.

At least they have guide prices on. Jacksons just says POA. I bet if you call them they will want the same kind of money.

I live by a military base in Tewkesbury and there are 100's and 100's of them here. The MANS are amazing vehicles, a few have HIABS on the back and can be seen lifting huge loads in the testing area. I have always thought what it must be like to convert one to Arb spec!!!

I have seen a couple with a box back on, near enough a perfect chip truck in the making!!!
