use one off these john we have one good bit off kit mate saved me alot off money on trying to get the old conrete

 

They look good, access must be a problem thou . Ive made a hand operated 1 out of scaffold poles. Works a treat with a 5ft bar and 16st on the end:biggrin:

there was so much concrete in the ground it was not funny

 

If we find loads of concrete in the ground we normally whack of the post flush and start with the first post at a half space - say 3ft on a 6ft post spacing fence - that way you miss all the old concrete butts and so don't have to dig them out. Works most times

If the client is ok with that its an economical way to go,most are happy with iy,but I wouldn't want the be the priceing the job after its already been done this way 2 or three times!:001_huh::laugh1:
