I'm a huge tattoo fan and have a fair few with plans to get many more. However, even through public perception is becoming more and more accepting towards tattoos I still choose to be able to hide my tattoos at any given moment that i feel they may still be deemed inappropriate. By this I mean being able to chuck some sleeves on and quote or job or be able to wear a suit a a wedding or christening without anyone knowing I have tattoos. They are for my enjoyment but I can also choose to show them off whenever I fell like on a beach or somewhere that noone will be judging me. I still feel in a way that hands and neck / face is best left to tattoo artists whom it is their job to show off tattoos

My wife and I both have plenty of tattoos, we are both intelligent and articulate and try to bust the stereotype/cliche BUT 1st impressions count and whilst we get compliments we also get plenty of dirty looks, and I'm so fed up of being followed around shops by security/staff like we're a couple of bloody shoplifters, some stereotypes are very entrenched and people can be incredibly ignorant. That said we only live once & can't spend all of it worrying what others think.

Not got any tats and in a perfect world people/customers whoever would not judge you because of them....

.... but we don't live in a perfect world. I'd keep 'em where they can be covered up. Who knows where your life could take you in the future. In this business you'll be fine but you may not want to stay in this business all your life.

Ditto above, and Frank's comments.

Also, all the lads I know who have had hands and necks done wish they hadn't.

Although chainsaw gloves would be cool...

I'd like to add that I don actually care about people judging me when they don't really know me unless however I am trying to get them to give me money and then it's all very "yes sir, no sir". You know what I mean?
