Leylandii cause Depression???

oh i dno, their sheer presence winds me up enough. hate the damn things. dropped about 30 of them round the back of our garden the other day. that wasnt depressing, that was payback!!

 

i think they depress chippers more. the jensens we had where i used to work, even the 150 pto one that would eat whole small trees would bog down when it was full of leylandii. it's not the smell, it's the sap i can do without!

I've never heard of the smell depressing anyone,did work with a lad who had a bad skin reaction to the buggers though.He just had to wear long sleeves and gloves to get around that problem.

Chipping a wet Bay tree and the smell of burnt gunpowder are two of my favorite smells.

a lad here had a skin reaction to ficus sap whilst being exposed to harsh summer sun. The reaction was called phytophotodermatitis (i think). Skin blistered up as if boiling water was poured over. healed itself after 48hrs though
