390xp or ms 660

i no this is another what chainsaw to buy thread (sorry) but i need a bigger saw i run a ms 441 as my biggist saw with a 20inch on her. bin doing some pricing latly and one job to day with some big trunks i could just about cut them up with my 441 but why struggle.

im not really intrested in getting into real big trees as iv always said i dont realy want to do anything my 441 cant do. but iv come across some pollarded willows that need to come out and some small fat trunked chestnuts.

now iv got 4 saws in mind i would like the 660 but my wallet ent really that fat at the moment so thought about the 650 no there ent really that much money between the 2 then looked at Husqvarna (always bin a stihl man) and looked at the 390xp and 395xp just wondered what people think about these saws. i really want to run a 30inch bar

any good points and bad point about the 4 saws would be great i need a bit off help to make up my mine form people that have used them

never used the 390 but if it is the 288 rebirth wich its proclaimed to be,it

will be a good saw! i am tempted to sell my 395 and get one,but the raw power of the 395 and 66 is unbeatable compared to the 288 so i know i will regret doing that!

Ive got a 390, If its a 30inch bar you want, Get the 395 mate, My 390 handles the 28inch bar extremely well but i wouldnt want to go any bigger on it, The 395xp is a far better saw than the 660 imo, The 660 can feel sluggish at times, The 395xp just seems to have more "kick" to it

I've used a 390xp with 28" bar, only a few times, but it seems a pretty good saw. Had no problem ringing up 30" dia ash. I'm thinking of getting one myself

660 is a good saw, you do have to keep the chainbrake really clean or it will become difficult to operate. It does run a 30" very nicely.

 

Never used a 390.

im not really worryed if it had a 28 inch bar i was just saying i would like a saw around the 30ich bar mark

i would like the 660 but if i only use the saw now and again is it worth nearly 200 pound more than the 390xp
