Insurance

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum so first a big hello.

I operate in Herts and have noticed a few members of the travelling community sniffing around more and more recently, and so apart from the usual canine and weapon based insurance I think it about time to go push the boat out on all the kit too.

Does anyone have any good deals that cover all equipment both when stored and out on jobs, and also perhaps sundries such as logs and cord wood?

I noticed at Capel a new insurer (to me at any rate) - Tree Surgeon Insurance : Specialist Tree Surgeon Insurance and Arboriculture Insurance - don't know if anyone has any experience of these guys either but certainly worth a quote.

Thanks people, looking forward to sharing news and ideas with you all through this great site.

Thanks for the welcome - I have always had Public and Employers Liability with Trust - I know they do kit insurance too but just wondered whether general concensus was that certain companies were more competitive on equipment insurance? - Worth an ask.

I also notice after posting that this subject has been done a few times before, so have got a bit of info from previous posts. Best talk about the weather or something now... do do de dum de do...

If you want to change the subject, is your avatar the big old yew by the bridge at Hatfield forest?

Hi Felix - well spotted you're bang on. I worked there for a year or so in the early days and the place has a special part of me all to itself. You seem to know it pretty well too, what's your link?

Followed in your foot steps this year, doing a lot of work on the veterans there plus a bit of coppicing. If you know that yew, then you will know the lovely ornamental plane within spitting distance. What a tree to work on :thumbup1:
