Yeahh that right, thought i would have a go at a bit of this type of stuff today, always been sort of interested in it, so today i decided that i would have a "practise" at somthing.

My Family has got an area of land by the river, lovely place for BBQ's and my friends and I go camping there in the summer, so i have decided to give it a bit of a make over, going to fence it off, plant some more trees, build a nice bench (just gotta mill the timber first) and today i put some "steps" down to the river.

Was a bit of a bodge job, but hey they work and im pleased with them, just kinda grabbed some bits of sawn wood scraps and a few old half round stakes and off i went, no real planning involved and certainly no tape measure or spirt level (think i should have taken the spirt level though :blushing:), not quite finished gunna get 2 boards, 4ft-ish might measure it :001_tt2: and put along each side of the steps going down the bank, if ya get what i mean.

Did some strimming aswell, docks and nettles, now its looking good, had a nice afternoon :001_smile:

Reminds me of a property that my parents bought back in the 60's about 30 miles from here in North Plains, Oregon. Wish it was still in the family.

80 acres, with Dairy Creek right down the middle. Small house by the main paved road, and field to the tree lined creek, with a river rock bottom. A small log foot bridge to the forested woods on the other side, with a 2 room cabin on the other side.

:001_smile:
