I like it, no bloody airplanes! some one told me this is why we have beautiful weather at the momment as well,apparently the same thing happened over NY after 9/11 when they set up a no fly zone because of all the vapour and fuel is not in the air from all those plains we get more sun shine??? could be a crock of.... though!

 

Its going to be chaos if the bigger volcano goes off!

This happened to Mt St helens and ash went around the world and caused chaos for 2 - 3 weeks, flights were canceled and other transports were disrupted and stuff like that. Hope it does not last for that long!!

They just said earlier that in theory it could last for months imagine that it will kill a few airline companies off.

yes that would not surprise me if a few airlines went out of business because of it. maybe some of the small airlines like air malta etc

I've heard that someone paid £36,000 for 6 business class tickets one-way, to fly him and his family back to England from the U.S. when the flights re-start.

The missus is still stuck in Portugal. Spent all of Saturday queing & finally managed to get tickets for Monday night to take train via Madrid to Barcelona; coach to Perpignon & train to Lille arriving Wed night. She's then going to nick a pushbike so she can get one of those preferential places for cyclists on a ferry!

I'm missing her...run out of cheese & the wash basket is full.

Yeah its suprising how bad it is and how it is effecting everyone Im sure will all be resolved soon:thumbup1:

 

Friend of mine went on a weeks holiday in gran canaria and has just had to book another week out there she doesnt reckon she will get anything til next sunday!

finally some good news, got a text this morning saying she's on a flight and will be home 2nite:thumbup:

 

apparently london airports wer only allowing british airways flights to land for the first 24hours :thumbdown:then after that it was a case of first come first served
