I think its very hard to judge your own ability, its better to ask those who have worked with the person in question how good they think he or she is.

I agree with Dave (skyhuck).....I consider myself a pretty 'average' climber, but am told by some guys i work with that i am ok. My self confidence is very low though......However it could be the other way tound- I COULD think myself the best climber in the world and yet be useless.....so I'm giving myself 10 points.......out of 1000!!!:laugh1:

I am a very average climber, but for 46 year old and 16st I reckon I can hold my own.

 

If you want to put a measure on your abilities then enter a competition as I did at Leeds which Judge organised with the likes of Alistair (Alli) and the other lad which I can remember his name (used to work for Nod at the shows ?? with dreads )??, they flew round the tree !!

 

All credit to Mr Bullman, he is a very fluid climber, very fast but keeps it safe and looking effortless ( and no I dont want to be a moderator Steve )

I was a great tree climber when I was the only experienced climber in the company I worked for at the time! Then I went to a climbing comp and got my a$$ kicked!

 

Then I worked freelance for a few years, that made me realise how average I really was. You need to work/climb with lots of other poeple to get a grip of what you are like. Its easy to be the best climber around when there is no one else around.
