Don't think playing these pranks are really going to achieve anything. You would look a right dick if you got caught letting someones tyres down, not to mention the likelyhood of getting a kick in the teeth. Better off putting your energy else where and concentrate on getting your money.:icon14:

What like paying a lawyer to take proceedings against said debtor.

If he's gone bankrupt, he's gone bankrupt, how you going to get your money?

If someone takes you on knowing they are going bankrupt, they deserve a kicking, not tyres letting down

we were owed £1400 by a customer three years ago.

It was obvious after that the guy was a crook but seemed ok at first. Hard to know which way to go but small claims court is fairly easy.

I was full of s***e at first thinking I was going to this and that but at the end of the day if you run a solid company you don't want you're good name dragged down.

I walked away from the money but if I had more time and experience I would have chased it legally.

Slow payers are our biggest problem. Especially commercial.:icon13:

Maybe you should talk to a lawyer. If someone asks you to do some work for them knowing that they are about to be declared bankrupt - and you or your lawyer can prove this - then the court can seize their personal possessions to pay off any debts - even if they are a company director. Limited liability status is worth nothing if you have decieved or been dishonest.

In case you are confused.

I suggested a non violent approach.

You said I may get a kick in the teeth and look silly if caught.

I suggest although we are letting tyres down it is they who, knowly rip you off, deserve the kick in the teeth.

You then suggest in your post I am contradicting myself.

Hope this clears it up for you Cabbi :post:

Dont know about you guys but i've been contacted twice by debt collection companies offering to collect debts free of charge ( they make their money from the client). Might be worth getting someone else to do the legwork.

Another point is that some people say "i've gone bankrupt" without actually properly declaring. You should check this out as judjing by some of the replies in this thread it works. Personally I would'nt walk away from a tenner, but then i'm a Yorkshire man raised in Scotland.
