You wouldn't get this problem if you had hair on your head - that's why it grows there: to protect you.

My head don't burn 'cos I wear a helmet.

You must look a picture on the beach - flip-flops, a pair of speedos and a chainsaw helmet! Still, I bet you don't get too many people sitting next to you:wave:

Long hair is fine if you are aware that it may be caught in equipment and keep it restrained. If you are female (possibly some males too) then I expect resin from trees could cause hair washing traumas.

1 more question.

What helmet do you people with long hair use?

i bought a petzl vertex vent helmet, and i find it a little hard to get on with long hair, maybe i need to let me hair down first, then tie it back.
