How do you lube up

Modifification done.

 

Huge high impact nylon wear pads spreading the load over a wider area rather than concentrating it in four small pads, so should last many times longer, whether greased or drylubed

Its called Nylon 6 Mesterh and is used to make bearing pads or gear wheels etc from this ebay user

Looks like its the kind of thing to have knocking about the workshop as it probably has quite a few uses.

Its incredibly hard wearing in the right situation, many cranes use nylon in the king post.

Decided to go with chain oil after all

 

Put it all back together and I had taken upany play the was, so things were a bit tighter than I thought, so I mixed chain oil with drylube and it worked a treat

 

Only thing I'm not happy with now is how when I put the four way adaptor on it blunts the single main knife.

 

I had sharpened the main knife up like a razor, stuck the fourway on which slides over the main knife and it flattened the edge off after one stroke
