Unexpected treebound objects???

 

Anyone else found frog spawn up a tree before?

 

Two clumps on a large oak 5&7m up.

 

I've got a strange visual in my head of a black bird biting down on its catch at the top of the tree and the momma froggie exploding, need your 's on.

 

Back there tomorrow. Will take a camara.

i have found people sometimes, ive got to the top and been like oh look another person

had a (think it was) kestrel land next to me while taking a breather up a scots pine, needless to say we both found it unexpected and both had a shock

I found a pig trough which must have been hung up in a fork and forgotten about. I found it with our chainsaws four times. After sharpening four saws we split the trunk to reveal a perfectly preserved pig trough minus four chainsaw cuts

A fox up a leaning ivy coverd birch tree. Lucky for him it was in norwich city's cemetery so i couldn't fell it. Made me S a Brick not what i expected.

 

Also in another park a cambium saver stuck in a tight fork and the bark had grown partially over it. Asked one of the old guys on the gang who said it was our bosses from 10 years ago.

Used to find alot of dead birds and squirrels when working on the power lines. Especially in nice dense conifers, the more frequent they turned up the closer you were getting to the top of the tree:001_smile:

What about this tree species specific petrified Porcelain fungus up an old beech ? It was fitted as an isolator to the tree about 80 years ago to hold electric wiring for lights attached to trees in the lanes of an old estate to guide the night tours by horse carriages.

I watched a colleague get splattered with rat blood and guts, while he was shaping the ball of a palm just as the rest of the rat family decided to make a run for it across his shoulders, down his back and out of the tree. He didnt look happy while i was stood laughing my ass off at his blood splattered face.
