You know where we'll be.....Driving truck n Chipper! :icon14:

(Least we'll all be very employable)

No by then John the ones with the licences will have to 'Climb & Drive' - I like the sound of that !

As an extra point for anyone wanting to get their full motorbike licence--- the practical test is changing in October (I think) and will include test centre based manoeuvres, and will only be available at a limited number of test centres. Prices will go up no doubt.

If you're looking to do B+E in the South, I can reccomend Hill's Driver Training at Plumpton in East Sussex....

question can someone tell me if this is true or not,

do u have to be 21 to do the whole towing a trailer by car/van/pickup/what ever else you may want to tow with?

someone told me i had to be 21?

'Because EC regulations limit drivers aged under 21 years to driving vehicles or combinations which weigh no more than 7.5 tonnes MAM, drivers under the age of 21 are not allowed to drive subcategory C1+E vehicles up to 12 tonnes MAM. But 18 year old drivers are allowed to take a test for subcategory C1+E which will allow trailers in excess of 750kgs MAM to be towed. Entitlement is limited to a combination weight of 7.5 tonnes MAM until the driver reaches 21 years, at which time the balance of 12 tonnes MAM entitlement automatically becomes effective'.
