I can't remember who for or against what anymore, this thread has gone on for so long.

 

I think some worry about what others think and some don't. Life is good because we have different kind of people in it, and thats what makes a good forum too.

My understanding of the 'ranking system' is different

 

 

Trades - have levels from unskilled to skilled

 

Professions - is doctors lawyers etc

 

Never the twain shall meet, I think probably due to the English class system.

So the professions don't occupy the 'skilled bracket' but a whole nother league called the professions.

 

This view allows everyone elses view to fit in as we can still be skilled or semi skilled in this ranking:001_smile:

I dont really get your point mate, lower ranking qualifications are less respected because they are lower ranking.

 

 

I am not talking about the acheivment, I am talking about the effort someone puts in.

 

A thicko that acheives an hard qualification(to him ) GCSE

 

A highly intelligent chap that acheives a hard qualification (to him)BSc Hon

 

Is either one of them less deserving of recognition for their acheivement ?
