seems you have your answer, but just to add, when we have been close to wires, edf come out just to observe. for free aswell, so why not!?

not quite that bad (yet). tbf, it's quicker for them to just come out to observe, rather than shut it down..

tell em what day your working and that there lines are causing a hazard.they can then have you cut on limitation of access.They have to sort it just tell em how it is rather than ask.

how close is the closest limb?branch from the wires ?? also is it low voltage or high voltage ?? the ruling it that if it is within 2 tree lengths you shold inform your local power suplier but to be honest unless there is a risk of any part of the tree comming into the live and proximity zones then they really aint to bothered
