I've had to resort to Stripping !

Spent today stripping for some extra money.. does anyone know the current price per tonne?

 

I cant lift the dustbin on my own and I've abot another dustbin load to strip. Just some stuff I had on my shelves for about ten year

It is in the thousands.

Most scrappies have a machine that will do the stripping for you. The last time i took copper to the scrappies i got £110. It aways pays to look in skips!

Bright n shiney:thumbup1:Worth a mint. Last time I stripped anything like that I got £800 for an Escort van load. That was back in 1990.

I used to sell rolls of 10mm winch wire which is what it is then the brewery I do tree work for asked me if I wanted anything out of this pile of stuff that a scrap man had offered £200 for. I knocked £300 off my bill and have had £300 out of it without weighing in the copper.

 

I know not so long ago it was £5000 a tonne I must have near on a 1/4 tonne

i believe its between 3500-4000 a tonne for clean copper

I'm going to put it in full veiw on the way to weigh it in and see everyone looking and gossiping, "I bet he's nicked all that " !!

last lot i weighed in was £3.60 a kilo for clean copper wire.that was just before christmas,think its just gone up again tho
