Sick of that ----!

 

last 2 out of 3 Ive owned have been duff (carbs).

 

Any good reports on the alternatives?

DITTO would be good to have a reliable saw that doesn't have a bad time of the month.

I've had problems in the past (tend to change mine ever year), but the last 2 I have had have been fine, no problems at all.

 

The duff ones I had in the past got sorted under warranty, my dealer fitted new old model carbs to them.

my 06,200 had duff carb chased the dealer & he got mi a new carb, but stilh ,still wouldnt admitt thers a prob with some of them the 07 1,is yet to be used ,still new

i bought 3 about 8 years ago, the 2 i kept got a hard life as usual and i got fed up with them being so tempramental, the 3rd one is still going strong, my dad has used it nearly everyday for firewood in all that time(i know he shouldnt but he does) i have it in the van just now, runs like a dream, some good ones, some bad ones

Reg, I think apbell on here got bored of it and got a different top handle and was really chuffed with it. Can't remember its name. Give him a pm or something mate. Hope this helps.

Buy one of the old carbs that dont have the little piston bit that causes the problem. IIRC cost about £70 new but that was 3 years ago or more and it has been brilliant:thumbup1: You have to modify the plastic piece that the air filter bolts to but its easily sorted, or you can just buy a new old style one.

 

Also less chance of knackering the pot and piston using the older carbs I think.
