This is the amount of sawdust moved today, after 2 days cutting, this weekend! - cant sell it/move it quick enough, didnt get the trailer to load it back in time, so had to pile it up and will let it rot down, with the other piles of the same size, will spread it on the fields.

its a mix of both hardwood and softwoods, was try and move it daily as it just clogs up the tractors pto etc and usually it goes off for animal bedding, but we couldnt get the trailer back yesterday and the lads were in a "lets go mad and clean up" mood, so just piled it up with the manure to spread in autumn.

it depends who is buying it garth and how you package it. loose in a trailer i reckon not very much, get it bagged, sealed and very clean and fine, then the horsey folk will give you top dollar. with the sawmills quiet it is hard to get your hands on it, horsey folk are now buying woodpellets for bedding and wetting them down, because it is so easy and clean to handle they are paying up to £300 a tonne( if you are adding up all the smaller bags you can carry) big wonga

not really interested in bagging it as i know the margins arent massive as we had a guy on our farm who used to bag up artic loads by hand and deliver them to stables.

was more interested in getting rid of it loose and in bulk if there is a customer for it, all kiln dried timber if it makes any difference, 40 yard ro ro skip full a fortnight.
