I disagree mick i watched the aussie bowlers they were giving it 1000%

I'm not sure about that Mick.

It would be unlike the Aussies to take their foot off the gas deliberately; they take 'competiveness' to ridiculous degrees, especially against the old foe.

The pitch was stupidly in all the bowlers' favour, so much so that the ICC has now assessed it as 'unsatisfactory', their second worst grading.

Call me cynical but leaving the grass at 10mm long had nothing to do with the heat which is hardly a novelty in the country; it was to do with offering the most assistance to the on form Aussie bowlers.  Luckily for us we bowled well too and they batted even worse than us (except for the brilliant Travis head).

 

I anticipate Sydney with trepidation; we've now lost three front line bowlers.

I'm a fan of Matt Potts; I really hope he can step up.
