Oak leaning on downward slope toward highroad.

Tension roots shot - Colybia

Reduced to standing dead wood, within falling zone of targets.

Rigged down two thirds with Big Ed, Zipped about a third back up slope, and used Big Ed for a couple of assisted fells toward the end.

Job went well :thumbup1:

Cheers guys,

tree was more of a challenge than perhaps it looks.

Really busy road & path, canopy over fence.

The climbers (3 over two days) did a fine number on the dismantle.

Everything came down where it was meant to.

Casper is in the last shots from when it's a single stem down.

just lovin that Hobbs :thumbup1:

Some big ladders there David :001_rolleyes:

I wouldn't have put the pulling rope through the guide loop on the hobbs, I'd of gone straight to the pulley provided it was lined up right so it was pulling to the inside of the drum.

You'll lose loads of pulling power because of the acute angle at which the rope goes off over the guide loop if you know what I mean :thumbup1:

that big right limb looked like one of those big horrible limbs dave. nice pics as per

Wobbled all over the place that one Stevie.

We considered a traverse between the central tip and the Hornbeam next to it (to work off) but Phillip just slogged on up and chogged it down.

The little tripples were just there to nip up the wee Hornbeam to get a couple of offending whippy branches outta the way of the zip line, Dean.

You're bang on with the winch line & the lag hook, the first shot was taken with it tied off just before the pull.

im so envious of your guys dave. i hope they realise how lucky they are

We all do, John :thumbup1:
