I have a lot of crooked  2.5mtr long cordwood, can you recommend a light chainsaw with 15” bar that you would suggest for cutting it into to manageable lengths to go through an old Japa 2100

processor.Preferably a Stihl or Husqvarna chain saw, many thanks.

Do you have a budget in mind?

Will battery work or petrol only?

Petrol .

As regards cost unfortunately they are what they are🙀

If it has to be Stihl or Husqvarna - my little MS182 hasn't let me down yet, though I tend to go for a battery saw instead for the amount of use that one gets. If I was going for a small petrol saw again I would be looking at the 200 series though just for the slight increase in power.

The Stihl MS261C is a great saw however, new, it is expensive, although there are a few available pre-loved (used) at the right price (IMO).

What saws have you got? If you haven't got a 261 or 550 then you should get one, both good general purpose saws which cut fast on a 15".

Personally I run 16" bar on 261, I'm very happy with the balance on that and see no need to go down to 15".
