The triple lock action is reversed, pull torwards instead of push away, easier I find. I dislike paying the triple lock premium - screw gates are a third of the price. However its not a small one.

 

Also great to watch experienced climbers struggle with it 😆

 

 

Why the small carabiner? The only reason I can currently think of is to suit a Rope Runner Vertec, which binds up if the carabiner is too thick, and it seems only a few, work well with it.

Side topic. What are oval biners even for? I had to paint the opening ends of mine the other day after getting so annoyed trying to open the ****************ers.

Ehh... I don't think those count.

I mean, 4kN, of course they're still "super good enough" for some things... but still...

Oval non-lockers are best for racking trad gear.

 

Oval lockers are great for obfuscating which way is up or down in photos for The Gram so you don't get people wagging their fingers about orientation.

For racking wires or whatever, I can't think of anything worse, I'd be opening the wrong end 110% of the time.
