PVC pipe through a woodchipper?

Hello, has anyone tried putting thick plastic pipe through a wood chipper? Would it be advisable or not? Someone is asking if I'd help recycle old fishfarm pipes 4" pipe about 1/2" thick wall. I'm wondering if it's too much strain on the tractor and chipper and also if the plastic dust might gum up inside. 170hp tractor with TP chipper.

Probably white or grey schedule 80 pressure pipework.

Having dealt with USA made spears pipework in the old days of getting high as a kite on pvc glue it's evil stuff, I wouldn't thinking putting it through a chipper as it'll kill the blades.

It does actually splinter and snap, best cut down to manageable lengths and thrown in a skip.

Shame you are 600 miles away, I'd buy some for underground conduit for the 300V DC cables from my shed 50ft to the house.

It's handy to have some. I use it for ducting and we'e built a couple of polytunnels with it too. A guy recycling it is asking to hire our chipper as theres so much of it to be shipped away. I can pretty much get as much as I need anytime for nothing.

It's not much use if its being replaced, the pellets traveling through it at high speed wear it very thin. I'm staggered that it's got a half inch wall, schedule 80 at that diameter only starts life at a wall thickness of 8.5mm.
