Chipper idea.

So been thinking of doing this for a while, and over Christmas break done a bit more. I am thinking of making a chipper as a Skid unit that can be moved by small loader, the main reason is so I can move chipper and loader to site with one vehicle and trailer. 

Has anyone else do this or seen something. Chipper would have to be something like the size of a Timberwolf 125.

No would be totally independent so I can move brash to chipper and blow into truck.

Guessing you want it like a large pallet, so the engine would probably need to be underslung to keep a bit of balance.

 

Kinda like one of those TP PTO chippers with the adjustable legs but with the engine tucked under the feed rollers.

the old TW150VTR tracked machines had a removable hopper, for narrow access, an arrangement like that would make it shorter in the trailer

You on about as a tracked unit, if so with loader to heavy. 

But as turned into skid unit may work if loader would lift it.

that's what I thought if you could find one cheap enough and do away with tracks, or if possible look at one and see how they made hopper removable, would mean making up electrical connectors etc

I have a 150HDB which I use and running a tape over that it's 2m from front of engine to hopper folded up, would have to relocate battery. But I think it's to heavy to lift with loader, that's why I was thinking 125.

Sure joe westrup one FB made an old 125 entec into a tracked machine before, mounting on a tracked barrow 

 

One of the old entec 125 with twin rollers fit the bill for you I would think

Yes he did, and I mist a 125 not far from me a month ago. But something will turn up.
