Finally realised an ambition of mine last week.....to visit the Helford River in Cornwall. Didnt have as much time there as i would have liked but certainly enough to wet my appetite. The place is stunning. Woodlands meeting the river banks. I felt like i had stepped back in time at times.

 

Now i am planning a boat/kayak trip to follow the river and it's tributaries as far as poss.

I have the enviable task of 3 weeks work around Trelissick area, part of the Helford complex, thinning out sycamore beech and holly from the ancient oak.....all within spitting distance of the water. Its a continuation of a job we did last year.
