Not my husky, not my IR camera. Cool picture.

In keeping with the spirit though, here is Albert the Second, 11 years old, born into a three-collie-household but now a lone wolf, still mourning the passing of the recently-deceased Jane, 14. In oak and chestnut.

Now I can’t see the other side of the fjord, it’s a white out.  Dumping with snow.

Just about to go up to the hunting ground and see if I can bump a few deer with the dog to drive them towards a mate who is sat their freezing on a post.

Snow dog.  In her element.  Didn’t manage to bump any Roe deer but found plenty of moose tracks.

A good walk in the woods is better than no walk in the woods.

Nice. Another good day beating yesterday. Nearly had a chase. Dropped the lead to let him under a fence while I climbed through it. Hare goes at that exact moment. Grabbed it just in time.

How long’s your long lead, Rich? I assume the slippery plastic type that they can drag around?

15m long.  It isn’t one of the plastic ones as they tend to crack as the temps can get so low here.

It is pretty much the same as a Lyon tape sling.  With a reflective strip stitched into the middle for visibility at night by the cars.

Wtf am I on about?  😜

Night, it is dark by 1520 at this time of year LOL.

Merry Christmas.  Here in Norway they celebrate on the 24th.  The dried, smoked salted Lambs ribs are rehydrating.  The swede and carrot mash is almost done and the tatties almost boiled to within an inch of their life.

We went out for a nice family walk in the woods whilst it was still light.  Found a nice Moose antler shed.

Kira is now pooped out on the sofa.

Keeping in the spirit of Chrimbo, there is a reflection of the tree in the window 😜

Sailor’s prolific (voluminous) shitting came to an end when I shut the door to the room the food sacks are kept in.  The thieving bastard had helped himself to about fifteen supplementary kilos over a week or two.
