No thanks I’ve seen what a university education brings to the game.

Anyway my books are balancing out ok Mark, just back from Holland now, if you have the skills you will get the work, exactly how it should be, brits made up about 40% of the team. 👍👍

I completely agree re: skills and work.

You said you struggled to understand economics, not making money.

I posted a link to courses on economics to help you out.

Did I Mark 😂 I don’t think you genuinely missed the sarcasm. I know you still yearn for the EU bosom but 🤷‍♂️life goes on.

Aye, it's a drag having to maintain a nymphomaniac Czech lass in order to secure an EU passport.

Free movement was a good thing in my life.

That’s a bit selfish for a socialist, free movement was a disaster for  UK apprenticeships and training of our own people.
Frontier pass ??

A socialist? I'm just a human who likes to treat people fairly.

Many of the best tree climbers I know had a stint working around Europe. Everyone should have that opportunity. Life isn't all about UK industry.

I agree, if you have the skills off you go. That’s totally different to an open border for anyone who wants to come regardless of what they bring to the table. Frontier pass it’s called in Holland if I remember correctly, if they have a need for a certain trade or skill it’s not impossible to get. No one ever said it was all about UK industry, my job is worldwide Mark, I’m well aware how it works.

Fair enough. But it used to be the case that if you were a semi-decent UK climber you could head to Munich and you'd probably be working on much bigger trees and to a far higher spec than many arbs in the UK. You would rapidly improve in skills and technique. Now you need to be able to do the more technical stuff in order to get your foot (visa) in the door.

We are tree climbers after all and all like a challenge.

More immigrants to the UK since Brexit with the added bonus that our youngsters are denied the opportunities to travel and work in Europe that we had. Winning all round!

The negativity SP it’s oozing out of every pore the last few days. Something gone wrong in the office ??. Ive  quoted the facts of a large fabrication outfit we use pre and post brexit several times

Pre Brexit 1 Scottish charge hand and a team consisting primarily of Eastern European guys.
Post Brexit 1 Scottish charge hand and a team consisting primarily of local Scottish lads including several apprentices, still a smattering of Eastern European lads who stayed I might add. That for  me is a win win any day.
Here’s a question for you, not that you are ever in the habit of answering anything mind. How many of these so called youngsters actually went abroad to work compared to how many came here to work ??

You do know or remember that youngsters as you describe them had been able to work in Europe long before the EU brought in the open borders thing ?. Did you head overseas SP as a youngster to work 😂
