Transit or Mercedes crew cab Tipper??

Hello Chaps and Chapesses,

I am after another van.

After nearly 20 years of having Transits either with a shutter Box or crew cab, I have seen the Mercedes tipper and wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experiences good or bad?

I was looking at around a 20 plate.

A concern for me is the Mercedes seem to be single wheel wheel on the back so traction may be an issue.

However I guess that means a bit more payload.

I've always had Transits and the death of them for me has always been the rust. They seem to be the worst van/truck for rust. Had an old Renault Master for a while, that was better

Just bought a mk1 vw crafter (same as a sprinter but vw engine) so will see how that fairs, it was 580 mile drive home with it!

My mechanic and his dad both have crafters.

Builder guy I've done work for has a crafter tipper, he loves it

There's also the MAN tge which is simillar (same?) as the crafter, and is available in twin wheel I think
