Sealing end grain for turning

New to wood turning and was wondering what folk are using to seal the end grains? I've read everything from anchorseal and watered down pvc to just using regular emulsion, any help would be appreciated.

Watered down PVC. Followed by PVC. But to be fair, anything would do to help, such as emulsion or gloss.

I use gloss paint, two coats. Still get some splitting but I does reduce the losses

If I have a special bit of wood that I wish to remain "green" until I rough turn it then I wrap it in pallet wrap ( industrial clingfilm )   especially during the spring / summer months ...in winter just a shaded place is fine .

I use SBR it works very well screwfix or tool station stock it.
