I got a pack of Tesco 'finest' sausages today

Underneath a picture of Jamie Oliver it says prick with a fork.

That would be a technical and culinary error Egger.

One shouldn’t ‘prick’ ones sausages during cooking since it allows heat, moisture, fat to escape from within the self contained cooking environment.  The sausage casing is intended to remain intact so as to create an even cook of the product as one might expect in a mini-casserole type scenario.  Retention of steam is essential to the cooking process as retention of fat is to flavour.

This is only really essential when using ‘quality’ sausages.

Bargain basement sawdust and ground sphincter variants, meh, don’t make much difference what you do with dem.

It's  a joke Mr Johnson, one is allowed to add a bit of bullshit, you've only got to look at some of the posts in the Brexit and US election threads to know that.

I don’t want you consuming sub optimal product though Egger!

See, beneath this rugged exterior there is a soft, caring, compassionate soul....

I understand you've got my best interests at heart Mr Johnson and I feel the same about you.

Belive me, at nearly 50 years of age I won't do anything silly with Jamie Oliver's sausage.
