Tipper insurance - who are people using please?

Afternoon all,

 

who are people using for tipper insurance please, trying to get a few prices, it's the first tipper i've had (Defender 110 tipper)

best quote so far is from Arborisk and a very close second is NFU

 

could be useful to some others too

Have you tried tree surgeons insurance yet?

 

Im with Nfu currently big renewal is due this month so will be hitting them up for a quote

Direct Line have been good for me in the past but they bumped it up 50% this year so I went over to NFU.

 

The price comparison sites were awful.

My 110 hardtop is with Aviva, the renewal was within a tenner of last year. Not a tipper though.

 

Seems random, my Mrs had the same problem with car insurance on her Yaris which went mad this year. 50 something lady no accident in last 20 years on a ten year old Yaris should be tuppence to insure. Changed provider, back to £100.

I have one vehicle with then. Also our shop is insured with them, separate business though

I was with nfu with whole business until

Approx 10 years when they stopped Insurance for tree surgeon ( height restriction! About 5m if I remember)

Which several on here must come across

NFU they pay out 99% of all claims and were great when I had to claim, I have an l200 tipper and vivaro van and pay just under £800 for both

to insure my Jag which is a 4.2 supercharged V8 is about £540 a year

to insure a tipper defender is £1120

maybe i'll mount the tipper body on the jag

I'm with Trust as they do my PL and EL. Iveco tipper, £750 a year for any driver over 25.
