I changed the blades on my Husky out front mower yesterday. Put it on cut level 4, like I have been doing so far this season - absolutely scalped the grass, had to put it up to level 7. I think I had put them on upside down when I sharpened them in January. I struggle to see how they had cut as well as they did the wrong way round, but nothing else explains why I had to revert to a higher cut setting, that being the one I used last year.🙈
