Drowned saw

My husky 550 just had a swim whilst running. I treated it like you would a old school saw, removed plug and pulled it over upside down till no more water came out, dried plug and re fitted it it then fired so I ran it flat out till all the water stopped coming out the exhaust! After that I buried it into the fire wood pile and worked it hard for 10min to get it warm and dry.
Is there any thing else it needs doing to keep it good? Am a bit worried about the auto tune gubbins 🫣

I did the same with a 560xp. Ran it ragged for a few hours after, never had any trouble.

The auto tune unit is sealed so no issues there, as it has now fired up again, and you have used it with no issues it should be fine now, maybe a spray with some wd40 starter and drive side won’t hurt.

Yup, ADW pretty much has it and a good recovery by you. The heat drives off any excess water around the saw, best thing you can do.

I have seen the needle bearing get a bit rusty when wet so get a bit of lube on it just to make sure
