Building a house next to a huge pine tree

Any advice appreciated. Just bought this land and want to build the house on the hill and not cut down that gorgeous pine tree. Is this possible ?  Or do I have to build on the flat land

Anything is possible! 
Where is this is probably the first question? What planning permission do you have/do you need? How much (in terms of actual monetary cost) do you value the tree?

It's in medellin, colombia. Yes I have permission from the complex and the city. I love the tree. It looks to me around 25 years old. If I'd have to cut it down, I'd build the house on the flat land instead. I'm just worried that building the house so close to such a huge tree can be a huge risk

Have you any photos of the tree from ground level with something in the pic to give scale? How close to the tree do you wish to build? How big is the house you wish to build?

I'm going to take the picture tomorrow and upload here.  The house would have to be extremely close because there's no other option

My question would be what's going to happen to the tree in another 25 years, plan around that.

Take it out and plant some more where they will be suitable.

If you dig that close to the tree it will likely be damaged ..

I don't see any problem with building around this pine tree, especially if you have the permits. As mentioned above, it's important to consider the growth of the tree and, most importantly, whether its roots will prevent you from building
