Husqvarna 550xpg Flywheel question

Hi! The flywheel on my Husqvarna 560 came loose while sawing, and the flywheel broke. The splint that goes on the crankshaft axle broke off so i need a new flywheel. My question is, does a flywheel from Husqvarna 550xpg fit on my 560?

By " splint " do you mean the flywheel key ?  Any way ADW will know @adw

Not had them side by side but different part numbers so I'd reckon it's a no.

The answer is no, plus if it’s a G then it has the generator magnets inside so needs to be a G flywheel if you want to continue with heated handles.

I am pretty sure there is a difference in the flywheels between the 550xp mk1 and the 550xp mk 11, so be careful what you order.

Losing the key is not the end of the flywheel, as long as it is perfectly lined up on the crank and torqued to the recommended tightness you are good to go 👍

Why??? The key is only used for alignment it's the taper that holds the flywheel in place

Why not just buy the correct flywheel in the first place??

I am well aware the taper holds the flywheel, however the chance of lining  up the broken key in the keyway exactly is pretty slim, you will end up with the saw ripping your fingers out of there sockets.
